Dog Trainer Megan

Megan began her journey with animals through owning, training, and studying horses. She has an educational background in Equine and is a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist through Equissage. Over the past few years, Megan has transitioned her focus to working with dogs.
She was a Professional dog walker and pet sitter, responsible for the in-home care of dogs, cats, chickens, fish, and birds. Megan also completed a dog grooming apprenticeship in a Fear Free Certified shop that focuses on accomodating special needs animals and continued to work there as a dog grooming assistant after completing her apprenticeship.
Most recently, she has completed the Karen Pryor Academy Foundations Course and is Pet CPR and First Aid Certified through the Pet Emergency Education. Megan is currently in the process of training her first sport dog, a Mini American Shepherd named Fae. So far together, they have dabbled in the beginning stages of dock diving, trick training, and nose work. They hope to someday earn trick titles and compete in nose work, dock diving, flyball, and agility.
Megan looks forward to continuing her education in the dog training field and having the opportunity to assist dogs and their owners in living happy and fulfilling lives together!
Megan currently works light duty as afternoon reception in our Day Training School. Megan hopes to transition back to more hands on dog training after she is able to return to full duty!
