As always, dogs brought into public locations should be leashed, house trained, and well mannered. Be courteous to others and always clean up after your pup!

It is also recommended to call ahead to make sure the dog policy has not changed!

Tips for eating out with your dog!

Teach your dog basic manners first

Dogs that can sit/down, stay, and walk loosely on a leash in busy and distracting environments are ideal candidates for enjoying a night out!

Magical Mats!

Another extremely useful skill for taking your pup out is settling down on a mat. Teach your down to lie down on a mat and bring that mat with you wherever you go (or substitute a napkin!).

Be Prepared!!!

Bring treats for your pup AND USE THEM! Reinforce good behavior such as lying on a mat or walking nicely next to you. The more you reinforce the good stuff the more likely it is you will see good behavior. Also helpful to have water and poop bags.

Problem Pooch?

If your pup is struggling in the busy environment you may need increase the value of your treats. Think Steak. You can also see if you can sit further away from the main action and reward your dog for all calm behavior. You may discover it is too difficult an environment for your dog and need to leave early.
