Group Manners Classes
Each Manners class will cover the basics of sit, down, and settling a mat. As your dog masters the basics we will make the exercises more challenging for you! We will add in Stay work around distractions as well as impulse control games to help your pup understand the rules around food and toys as well as how to politely greet people. We will also play lots of Recall Games as well as teaching your pup how to walk on a nice, loose leash!
The flexible scheduling means there will be different dogs in your classes as you progress. Some teams may be on class number one and learning the basics of a sit and other teams may be working on more advanced concepts in the same class!
You will progress from Basic to Advanced manners by repeating these classes.
Does your dog come when you call them? Can your dog recall past or away from distractions?
Every other week we will play recall games to inject joy into your dog’s recall and make him want to come bounding back to you!
Recalls are so important to teach because it can literally save your dog’s life!
Sit, down, settle on a mat, and stay! If your dog cannot do all of those you are missing out on a well-rounded, mannerly pup!
Imagine eating at a cafe with your pup. He is lying quietly by your chair as you enjoy your own meal.
Your dog can learn to wait at the door before it is opened or to lie on a mat while you prep and eat dinner. Life is good!
What happens if you drop food on the floor? Or what about when young children are eating? Does your dog steal things such as socks? How about jumping on people?
Nobody likes a dog jumping all over them, particularly one with wet, muddy paws or very large dogs.
This class will work on improving your dog’s self-control around food, other coveted items, and people.
What if you drop something dangerous for your dog, like medication, and he has no self-control?
Walking your dog should be a pleasant experience for both of you! What does it feel like to have a nice, loose leash?
This class focuses on teaching the dog to walk nicely on a leash.
Loose leash walking is so desirable, but yet so hard to attain. Let us help you step by step to achieve your wish.
